A guide to uninstall Atom from your system

Atom is a Windows program. Read below about how to remove it from your computer. It was created for Windows by GitHub Inc.. You can read more on GitHub Inc. or check for application updates here. Usually the Atom application is found in the C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\atom directory, depending on the user's option during setup. C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\atom\Update.exe is the full command line if you want to remove Atom. atom.exe is the programs's main file and it takes about 95.48 MB (100120096 bytes) on disk.

After the uninstall process, the application leaves leftovers on the computer. Part_A few of these are shown below.

Use regedit.exe to manually remove from the Windows Registry the keys below:

• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\MIME\Database\Content Type\application/atom+xml
• HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\atom

Open regedit.exe in order to delete the following values:

• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\bam\State\UserSettings\S-1-5-21-2037884623-543143425-3007934013-1001\\Device\HarddiskVolume3\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\atom\app-1.52.0\atom.exe

A way to remove Atom with Advanced Uninstaller PRO

Atom is an application offered by the software company GitHub Inc.. Sometimes, users decide to remove it. Sometimes this can be efortful because performing this manually takes some know-how related to removing Windows programs manually. One of the best SIMPLE action to remove Atom is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take the following steps on how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO already installed on your Windows system, add it. This is good because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is the best uninstaller and general utility to clean your Windows PC.

• go to Download Link
• download the program by pressing the green DOWNLOAD button
• set up Advanced Uninstaller PRO

2. Start Advanced Uninstaller PRO. It's recommended to take your time to get familiar with the program's design and number of features available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very good package of tools.

3. Press the General Tools button


4. Activate the Uninstall Programs feature


5. All the programs existing on your PC will be made available to you

6. Scroll the list of programs until you find Atom or simply activate the Search field and type in "Atom". The Atom program will be found very quickly. Notice that after you click Atom in the list of programs, the following information about the application is available to you:

• Star rating (in the left lower corner). The star rating explains the opinion other users have about Atom, from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Reviews by other users - Press the Read reviews button.
• Details about the application you wish to uninstall, by pressing the Properties button.

7. Press the Uninstall button. A confirmation window will show up. accept the removal by pressing Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will then uninstall Atom.


8. After removing Atom, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will ask you to run a cleanup. Press Next to proceed with the cleanup. All the items of Atom that have been left behind will be found and you will be asked if you want to delete them. By uninstalling Atom with Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you are assured that no Windows registry entries, files or directories are left behind on your computer.

Your Windows computer will remain clean, speedy and ready to serve you properly.
