How to uninstall VeraCrypt from your PC

A way to uninstall VeraCrypt with Advanced Uninstaller PRO

VeraCrypt is an application by the software company IDRIX. Some users want to remove it. This is hard because uninstalling this by hand requires some know-how regarding removing Windows applications by hand. One of the best SIMPLE way to remove VeraCrypt is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Here is how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO already installed on your Windows system, install it. This is a good step because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is one of the best uninstaller and all around utility to optimize your Windows computer.

• download the setup by pressing the DOWNLOAD button
• set up Advanced Uninstaller PRO

2. Start Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take your time to get familiar with Advanced Uninstaller PRO's design and number of functions available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very useful Windows optimizer.

3. Press the General Tools button


4. Press the Uninstall Programs feature


5. A list of the applications installed on your PC will appear

6. Scroll the list of applications until you find VeraCrypt or simply activate the Search field and type in "VeraCrypt". If it is installed on your PC the VeraCrypt app will be found automatically. After you click VeraCrypt in the list of programs, the following data about the application is made available to you:

• Star rating (in the lower left corner). The star rating tells you the opinion other people have about VeraCrypt, from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Reviews by other people - Press the Read reviews button.
• Details about the program you are about to remove, by pressing the Properties button.

For example you can see that for VeraCrypt:

• The web site of the application is: https://www.idrix.fr/
• The uninstall string is: C:\Program Files\VeraCrypt\VeraCrypt Setup.exe

7. Click the Uninstall button. A confirmation dialog will come up. accept the removal by clicking Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will remove VeraCrypt.


8. After removing VeraCrypt, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will ask you to run an additional cleanup. Click Next to proceed with the cleanup. All the items that belong VeraCrypt that have been left behind will be found and you will be asked if you want to delete them. By removing VeraCrypt using Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you are assured that no registry entries, files or directories are left behind on your system.

Your PC will remain clean, speedy and able to take on new tasks.
