How to uninstall VeraCrypt from your computer

VeraCrypt is a Windows application. A way to uninstall VeraCrypt from your computer with the help of Advanced Uninstaller PRO

VeraCrypt is a program by IDRIX. Sometimes, users decide to remove it. This is troublesome because doing this by hand takes some know-how related to Windows internal functioning. One of the best EASY approach to remove VeraCrypt is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Here is how to do this:

3. Press the General Tools category

5. A list of the applications installed on the PC will appear

6. Navigate the list of applications until you find VeraCrypt or simply activate the Search feature and type in "VeraCrypt". The VeraCrypt application will be found very quickly. When you select VeraCrypt in the list , some data about the program is shown to you:


  • Safety rating (in the left lower corner). This tells you the opinion other people have about VeraCrypt, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
  • Reviews by other people - Press the Read reviews button.
  • Technical information about the app you are about to remove, by pressing the Properties button.

7. Press the Uninstall button. A confirmation dialog will show up. accept the removal by pressing Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will uninstall VeraCrypt.

8. After uninstalling VeraCrypt, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will ask you to run an additional cleanup. Click Next to perform the cleanup. All the items of VeraCrypt which have been left behind will be detected and you will be asked if you want to delete them. By removing VeraCrypt with Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you can be sure that no Windows registry entries, files or folders are left behind on your PC.
