A way to erase VeraCrypt using Advanced Uninstaller PRO

VeraCrypt is a program released by the software company IDRIX. Sometimes, users try to erase it. Sometimes this can be troublesome because performing this manually takes some skill related to Windows internal functioning. The best EASY solution to erase VeraCrypt is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take the following steps on how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO already installed on your Windows system, install it. This is good because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is an efficient uninstaller and all around utility to take care of your Windows system.

  • download the program by pressing the green DOWNLOAD button
  • install Advanced Uninstaller PRO
2. Start Advanced Uninstaller PRO. It's recommended to take your time to admire Advanced Uninstaller PRO's design and number of functions available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a powerful Windows optimizer.

3. Click on the General Tools button

4. Activate the Uninstall Programs tool

5. All the applications existing on the computer will be made available to you

6. Navigate the list of applications until you locate VeraCrypt or simply click the Search field and type in "VeraCrypt". If it is installed on your PC the VeraCrypt application will be found very quickly. After you click VeraCrypt in the list of applications, some information regarding the program is shown to you:


  • Safety rating (in the left lower corner). The star rating tells you the opinion other users have regarding VeraCrypt, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
  • Opinions by other users - Click on the Read reviews button.
  • Details regarding the app you want to uninstall, by pressing the Properties button.

  • The uninstall string is: C:\Program Files\VeraCrypt\VeraCrypt Setup.exe
7. Click the Uninstall button. A confirmation dialog will come up. accept the removal by pressing the Uninstall button. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will then remove VeraCrypt.

8. After uninstalling VeraCrypt, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will offer to run a cleanup. Click Next to perform the cleanup. All the items that belong VeraCrypt which have been left behind will be detected and you will be able to delete them. By removing VeraCrypt with Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you can be sure that no Windows registry entries, files or directories are left behind on your system.
