Some files, folders and registry entries can not be removed when you want to remove SnapGene from your PC.

Directories left on disk:

• C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Roaming\SnapGene

Check for and delete the following files from your disk when you uninstall SnapGene:

Use regedit.exe to manually remove from the Windows Registry the keys below:

• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\snapgene
• HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\SnapGene
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\SnapGene

Open regedit.exe in order to remove the following values:

• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\bam\State\UserSettings\S-1-5-21-3473701823-2528117330-4217595810-1001\\Device\HarddiskVolume4\Program Files\SnapGene\SnapGene.exe

A way to uninstall SnapGene from your PC with Advanced Uninstaller PRO

SnapGene is an application offered by the software company GSL Biotech LLC. Sometimes, users want to erase it. This can be easier said than done because uninstalling this by hand requires some skill related to removing Windows programs manually. • download the program by pressing the green DOWNLOAD NOW button
• set up Advanced Uninstaller PRO

2. Run Advanced Uninstaller PRO. It's recommended to take your time to admire Advanced Uninstaller PRO's interface and wealth of functions available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very useful program.

3. Press the General Tools category


4. Click on the Uninstall Programs tool


5. All the applications installed on the computer will appear

6. Scroll the list of applications until you find SnapGene or simply click the Search feature and type in "SnapGene". The SnapGene application will be found very quickly. When you click SnapGene in the list of applications, some information about the program is available to you:

• Star rating (in the lower left corner). The star rating explains the opinion other people have about SnapGene, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Reviews by other people - Press the Read reviews button.
• Technical information about the application you wish to uninstall, by pressing the Properties button.

For example you can see that for SnapGene:

• The web site of the program is: http://gslbiotech.com
• The uninstall string is: C:\Program Files\SnapGene\Uninstall.exe

7. Press the Uninstall button. A confirmation dialog will come up. Confirm the removal by pressing Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will then remove SnapGene.


8. After removing SnapGene, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will offer to run an additional cleanup. Click Next to start the cleanup. All the items of SnapGene that have been left behind will be found and you will be able to delete them.
