Some files and registry entries are usually left behind when you remove VMware Workstation.

Check for and delete the following files from your disk when you uninstall VMware Workstation:

• C:\UserNames\UserName\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.Windows.Search_cw5n1h2txyewy\LocalState\AppIconCache\100\{7C5A40EF-A0FB-4BFC-874A-C0F2E0B9FA8E}_VMware_VMware Workstation_vmnetcfg_exe

You will find in the Windows Registry that the following keys will not be uninstalled; remove them one by one using regedit.exe:

Additional registry values that you should clean:

How to delete VMware Workstation with Advanced Uninstaller PRO

VMware Workstation is an application marketed by VMware, Inc.. Some computer users try to remove this application. This is efortful because deleting this manually requires some advanced knowledge related to Windows internal functioning. 3. Press the General Tools button


4. Click on the Uninstall Programs feature


5. All the programs existing on your PC will appear

6. Scroll the list of programs until you find VMware Workstation or simply click the Search feature and type in "VMware Workstation". The VMware Workstation app will be found very quickly. After you select VMware Workstation in the list of applications, some information regarding the application is available to you:

• Star rating (in the lower left corner). This tells you the opinion other users have regarding VMware Workstation, from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Reviews by other users - Press the Read reviews button.
• Details regarding the program you want to uninstall, by pressing the Properties button.

7. Press the Uninstall button. A confirmation page will show up. accept the uninstall by clicking the Uninstall button. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will automatically remove VMware Workstation.


8. After uninstalling VMware Workstation, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will ask you to run an additional cleanup. Press Next to start the cleanup. All the items that belong VMware Workstation that have been left behind will be detected and you will be able to delete them.
