VMware Workstation has the habit of leaving behind some leftovers.

The files below remain on your disk by VMware Workstation's application uninstaller when you removed it:

• C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Local\VMware\workstation.log

Usually the following registry keys will not be cleaned:

How to uninstall VMware Workstation from your computer using Advanced Uninstaller PRO

VMware Workstation is an application offered by the software company VMware, Inc.. Some users want to uninstall this program. This can be troublesome because removing this manually requires some experience related to PCs. The best SIMPLE approach to uninstall VMware Workstation is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Here is how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO already installed on your Windows PC, add it. This is good because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is an efficient uninstaller and all around utility to maximize the performance of your Windows computer.

• download the program by pressing the green DOWNLOAD button
• set up Advanced Uninstaller PRO

2. Start Advanced Uninstaller PRO. It's recommended to take your time to get familiar with the program's interface and number of functions available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very good package of utilities.

3. Click on the General Tools category


4. Click on the Uninstall Programs button


5. All the programs installed on your PC will be made available to you

6. Scroll the list of programs until you locate VMware Workstation or simply activate the Search field and type in "VMware Workstation". If it is installed on your PC the VMware Workstation application will be found very quickly. When you click VMware Workstation in the list of apps, the following information about the program is made available to you:

• Star rating (in the lower left corner). The star rating tells you the opinion other people have about VMware Workstation, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Opinions by other people - Click on the Read reviews button.
• Technical information about the app you are about to uninstall, by pressing the Properties button.

7. Click the Uninstall button. A window asking you to confirm will come up. accept the uninstall by pressing Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will then uninstall VMware Workstation.


8. After uninstalling VMware Workstation, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will ask you to run a cleanup. Click Next to proceed with the cleanup. All the items that belong VMware Workstation that have been left behind will be found and you will be able to delete them. By uninstalling VMware Workstation using Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you are assured that no Windows registry entries, files or folders are left behind on your PC.
