If you are manually uninstalling VMware Workstation we recommend you to verify if the following data is left behind on your PC.

Check for and remove the following files from your disk when you uninstall VMware Workstation:
  • C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Local\Temp\vmsetup.20190401003455.vmware workstation.msi.install.log

You will find in the Windows Registry that the following keys will not be removed; remove them one by one using regedit.exe:

VMware Workstation is an application offered by the software company VMware, Inc.. Some users want to erase this program. 2. Run Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take your time to get familiar with Advanced Uninstaller PRO's interface and number of tools available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a powerful package of tools.

3. Click on the General Tools category

4. Press the Uninstall Programs feature

5. All the programs installed on your PC will appear

6. Navigate the list of programs until you find VMware Workstation or simply click the Search feature and type in "VMware Workstation". If it is installed on your PC the VMware Workstation app will be found automatically. Notice that when you select VMware Workstation in the list of apps, some information about the application is made available to you:


  • Star rating (in the lower left corner). The star rating tells you the opinion other people have about VMware Workstation, from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
  • Reviews by other people - Click on the Read reviews button.
