VMware Workstation has the habit of leaving behind some leftovers.

Check for and remove the following files from your disk when you uninstall VMware Workstation:

• C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Local\VMware\workstation.log

Use regedit.exe to manually remove from the Windows Registry the data below:

• HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\VMware Workstation
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Installer\Products\80944AFF8E4D4D14AB7B175DC8D23C01
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{FFA44908-D4E8-41D4-BAB7-71D58C2DC310}
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Wow6432Node\VMware, Inc.\VMware Workstation

Open regedit.exe in order to delete the following registry values:

• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Installer\Products\80944AFF8E4D4D14AB7B175DC8D23C01\ProductName
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Installer\Folders\C:\Windows\Installer\{FFA44908-D4E8-41D4-BAB7-71D58C2DC310}\

• Details regarding the app you want to remove, by pressing the Properties button.
