If you are manually uninstalling ShareX we advise you to check if the following data is left behind on your PC.

Registry keys:

• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ShareX.sxcu
• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ShareX.sxie
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Steam App 400040

Open regedit.exe in order to delete the following registry values:

• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\MuiCache\D:\Steam\steamapps\common\ShareX\ShareX\ShareX.exe.ApplicationCompany
• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\MuiCache\D:\Steam\steamapps\common\ShareX\ShareX\ShareX.exe.FriendlyAppName

A way to delete ShareX using Advanced Uninstaller PRO

ShareX is an application marketed by the software company ShareX Team. Frequently, users try to remove this application. 3. Press the General Tools button


4. Press the Uninstall Programs tool


5. All the applications existing on the computer will appear

6. Navigate the list of applications until you locate ShareX or simply activate the Search field and type in "ShareX". If it exists on your system the ShareX app will be found very quickly. Notice that after you click ShareX in the list of programs, some information about the program is shown to you:

• Star rating (in the lower left corner). The star rating explains the opinion other users have about ShareX, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Opinions by other users - Press the Read reviews button.
• Technical information about the program you are about to uninstall, by pressing the Properties button.

For instance you can see that for ShareX:

7. Press the Uninstall button. A confirmation window will appear. accept the removal by clicking Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will automatically uninstall ShareX.


8. After uninstalling ShareX, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will ask you to run an additional cleanup. Click Next to proceed with the cleanup. All the items of ShareX which have been left behind will be found and you will be asked if you want to delete them. By removing ShareX with Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you can be sure that no Windows registry entries, files or directories are left behind on your disk.
