If you're planning to uninstall ShareX you should check if the following data is left behind on your PC.

You should delete the folders below after you uninstall ShareX:

• C:\Program Files\ShareX
• C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\ShareX

Files remaining:

• C:\Program Files\ShareX\7z.dll
• C:\Program Files\ShareX\7z-x64.dll
• C:\Program Files\ShareX\audio_sniffer-x64.dll
• C:\Program Files\ShareX\AWSSDK.Core.dll

You will find in the Windows Registry that the following data will not be removed; remove them one by one using regedit.exe:

• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\*\shell\ShareX
• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\shell\ShareX
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Tracing\ShareX_RASAPI32
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Tracing\ShareX_RASMANCS

Open regedit.exe to remove the values below from the Windows Registry:

• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\*\shell\ShareX\Icon
• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\*\shell\ShareX\command\
• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{4EA69364-2C8A-4AE6-A561-56E4B5044439}\InprocServer32\
• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{8E146464-DB61-4309-AFA1-3578E927E935}\InprocServer32\

How to delete ShareX from your computer with Advanced Uninstaller PRO

ShareX is a program marketed by ShareX Team. Frequently, people want to uninstall this program. 3. Click on the General Tools button


4. Press the Uninstall Programs feature


5. All the programs installed on your PC will be shown to you

6. Navigate the list of programs until you locate ShareX or simply click the Search feature and type in "ShareX". If it is installed on your PC the ShareX program will be found very quickly. Notice that when you select ShareX in the list , some data regarding the application is shown to you:

• Star rating (in the lower left corner). This explains the opinion other users have regarding ShareX, from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Reviews by other users - Click on the Read reviews button.
• Details regarding the program you wish to remove, by pressing the Properties button.

For example you can see that for ShareX:

• The publisher is: https://getsharex.com
• The uninstall string is: C:\Program Files\ShareX\unins000.exe

7. Click the Uninstall button. A window asking you to confirm will appear. Confirm the uninstall by clicking Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will then remove ShareX.


8. After uninstalling ShareX, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will ask you to run a cleanup. Click Next to go ahead with the cleanup. All the items of ShareX which have been left behind will be found and you will be asked if you want to delete them. By removing ShareX with Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you are assured that no Windows registry entries, files or folders are left behind on your PC.
