A way to uninstall ShareX from your computer

ShareX is a Windows application. Read below about how to uninstall it from your computer. The Windows release was developed by ShareX Team. You can read more on ShareX Team or check for application updates here. You can get more details about ShareX at https://getsharex.com. Usually the ShareX application is found in the C:\Program Files\ShareX directory, depending on the user's option during install. The full command line for removing ShareX is C:\Program Files\ShareX\unins000.exe. Note that if you will type this command in Start / Run Note you might get a notification for admin rights. ShareX's main file takes about 1.63 MB (1707008 bytes) and is called ShareX.exe.

After the uninstall process, the application leaves some files behind on the computer. Part_A few of these are listed below.

Folders left behind when you uninstall ShareX:

• C:\Program Files\ShareX
• C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\ShareX

Files remaining:

• C:\Program Files\ShareX\7z.dll
• C:\Program Files\ShareX\7z-x64.dll
• C:\Program Files\ShareX\AWSSDK.Core.dll

You will find in the Windows Registry that the following keys will not be uninstalled; remove them one by one using regedit.exe:

• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\*\shell\ShareX
• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\shell\ShareX
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Tracing\ShareX_RASAPI32
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Tracing\ShareX_RASMANCS

Open regedit.exe in order to delete the following registry values:

• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\*\shell\ShareX\Icon
• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\*\shell\ShareX\command\
• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\shell\ShareX\Icon
• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\shell\ShareX\command\

How to erase ShareX with Advanced Uninstaller PRO

ShareX is a program offered by ShareX Team. Sometimes, users choose to erase it. This is troublesome because removing this by hand takes some know-how related to Windows program uninstallation. 3. Press the General Tools category


4. Press the Uninstall Programs button


5. A list of the programs existing on the computer will be shown to you

6. Scroll the list of programs until you locate ShareX or simply activate the Search field and type in "ShareX". The ShareX application will be found very quickly. When you click ShareX in the list of applications, the following data regarding the application is made available to you:

• Star rating (in the lower left corner). This explains the opinion other people have regarding ShareX, from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Reviews by other people - Press the Read reviews button.
• Details regarding the application you want to remove, by pressing the Properties button.

For example you can see that for ShareX:

• The web site of the application is: https://getsharex.com
• The uninstall string is: C:\Program Files\ShareX\unins000.exe

7. Click the Uninstall button. A confirmation dialog will show up. accept the uninstall by pressing the Uninstall button. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will automatically uninstall ShareX.


8. After uninstalling ShareX, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will offer to run an additional cleanup. Click Next to go ahead with the cleanup. All the items that belong ShareX that have been left behind will be detected and you will be able to delete them. By uninstalling ShareX with Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you are assured that no Windows registry items, files or folders are left behind on your disk.
