A way to uninstall ShareX from your system

This page contains thorough information on how to remove ShareX for Windows. It was coded for Windows by ShareX Team. Check out here where you can read more on ShareX Team. Further information about ShareX can be found at https://getsharex.com. The program is usually found in the C:\Program Files\ShareX folder (same installation drive as Windows). You can remove ShareX by clicking on the Start menu of Windows and pasting the command line C:\Program Files\ShareX\unins000.exe. Keep in mind that you might be prompted for administrator rights. ShareX's primary file takes about 1.79 MB (1873920 bytes) and its name is ShareX.exe.

Following the uninstall process, the application leaves leftovers on the PC. Some of these are shown below.

The files below were left behind on your disk by ShareX's application uninstaller when you removed it:

Open regedit.exe to delete the registry values below from the Windows Registry:

• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\MuiCache\D:\ShareX\ShareX.exe.FriendlyAppName

A way to delete ShareX from your PC using Advanced Uninstaller PRO

ShareX is a program offered by the software company ShareX Team. Sometimes, computer users decide to uninstall this program. Sometimes this can be hard because uninstalling this by hand takes some skill related to removing Windows programs manually. One of the best SIMPLE solution to uninstall ShareX is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take the following steps on how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO already installed on your PC, install it. This is a good step because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is an efficient uninstaller and all around tool to maximize the performance of your computer.

• go to Download Link
• download the setup by pressing the green DOWNLOAD button
• set up Advanced Uninstaller PRO

2. Start Advanced Uninstaller PRO. It's recommended to take some time to admire the program's interface and number of features available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very useful program.

3. Press the General Tools category


4. Press the Uninstall Programs feature


5. A list of the applications installed on the computer will be shown to you

6. Navigate the list of applications until you locate ShareX or simply activate the Search feature and type in "ShareX". The ShareX application will be found very quickly. When you click ShareX in the list , some data about the program is available to you:

• Safety rating (in the left lower corner). This explains the opinion other people have about ShareX, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Opinions by other people - Press the Read reviews button.
• Details about the app you are about to uninstall, by pressing the Properties button.

For example you can see that for ShareX:

• The publisher is: https://getsharex.com
• The uninstall string is: C:\Program Files\ShareX\unins000.exe

7. Press the Uninstall button. A confirmation dialog will show up. Confirm the uninstall by pressing the Uninstall button. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will uninstall ShareX.


8. After removing ShareX, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will ask you to run a cleanup. Click Next to perform the cleanup. All the items of ShareX that have been left behind will be found and you will be asked if you want to delete them. By uninstalling ShareX with Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you are assured that no registry entries, files or directories are left behind on your PC.

Your system will remain clean, speedy and ready to run without errors or problems.
