A guide to uninstall NVDA from your system

This page is about NVDA for Windows. Here you can find details on how to uninstall it from your computer. The Windows release was developed by NV Access. You can find out more on NV Access or check for application updates here. More information about the program NVDA can be found at https://www.nvaccess.org/. NVDA is usually installed in the C:\Program Files (x86)\NVDA directory, however this location may differ a lot depending on the user's choice while installing the program. The full command line for uninstalling NVDA is C:\Program Files (x86)\NVDA\uninstall.exe. Note that if you will type this command in Start / Run Note you might get a notification for admin rights. The program's main executable file is called nvda_uiAccess.exe and it has a size of 74.47 KB (76256 bytes).

NVDA installs the following the executables on your PC, taking about 727.99 KB (745464 bytes) on disk.

How to delete NVDA using Advanced Uninstaller PRO

NVDA is an application marketed by NV Access. Some users decide to erase this application. Sometimes this is efortful because deleting this by hand takes some knowledge regarding Windows internal functioning. The best EASY manner to erase NVDA is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take the following steps on how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO on your Windows PC, add it. This is good because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very potent uninstaller and all around tool to take care of your Windows computer.

• download the program by clicking on the DOWNLOAD button
• install Advanced Uninstaller PRO

2. Run Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take your time to admire Advanced Uninstaller PRO's design and wealth of functions available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a powerful program.

3. Press the General Tools category


4. Activate the Uninstall Programs button


5. All the applications existing on the PC will be shown to you

6. Navigate the list of applications until you locate NVDA or simply activate the Search field and type in "NVDA". If it is installed on your PC the NVDA app will be found very quickly. After you select NVDA in the list , the following data about the application is shown to you:

• Safety rating (in the left lower corner). The star rating explains the opinion other people have about NVDA, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Opinions by other people - Press the Read reviews button.
• Technical information about the application you want to uninstall, by clicking on the Properties button.

For example you can see that for NVDA:

• The web site of the application is: https://www.nvaccess.org/
• The uninstall string is: C:\Program Files (x86)\NVDA\uninstall.exe

7. Press the Uninstall button. A confirmation window will come up. Confirm the removal by pressing Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will then remove NVDA.


8. After uninstalling NVDA, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will ask you to run a cleanup. Press Next to start the cleanup. All the items of NVDA which have been left behind will be found and you will be asked if you want to delete them. By uninstalling NVDA using Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you are assured that no Windows registry entries, files or folders are left behind on your disk.

Your Windows computer will remain clean, speedy and ready to take on new tasks.
