A guide to uninstall NVDA from your computer

NVDA is a software application. This page is comprised of details on how to remove it from your PC. The Windows release was created by NV Access. Check out here for more information on NV Access. Please open http://www.nvaccess.org/ if you want to read more on NVDA on NV Access's page. Usually the NVDA program is found in the C:\Program Files (x86)\NVDA folder, depending on the user's option during setup. NVDA's complete uninstall command line is C:\Program Files (x86)\NVDA\uninstall.exe. NVDA's main file takes about 44.09 KB (45144 bytes) and is named nvda_uiAccess.exe.

NVDA installs the following the executables on your PC, occupying about 418.41 KB (428456 bytes) on disk.

NVDA has the habit of leaving behind some leftovers.

You will find in the Windows Registry that the following data will not be cleaned; remove them one by one using regedit.exe:

• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.nvda-addon
• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\NVDA.Addon.1
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\NVDA
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\nvda

How to remove NVDA with Advanced Uninstaller PRO

NVDA is an application released by NV Access. Sometimes, people want to remove this program. Sometimes this can be efortful because deleting this manually takes some advanced knowledge related to removing Windows applications by hand. One of the best SIMPLE action to remove NVDA is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Here is how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO on your PC, add it. This is good because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is one of the best uninstaller and general utility to maximize the performance of your system.

• go to Download Link
• download the setup by clicking on the green DOWNLOAD NOW button
• set up Advanced Uninstaller PRO

2. Run Advanced Uninstaller PRO. It's recommended to take your time to admire Advanced Uninstaller PRO's design and wealth of tools available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a powerful package of utilities.

3. Click on the General Tools button


4. Press the Uninstall Programs feature


5. A list of the programs existing on the PC will appear

6. Navigate the list of programs until you locate NVDA or simply click the Search field and type in "NVDA". If it is installed on your PC the NVDA application will be found automatically. Notice that when you select NVDA in the list , some information about the program is shown to you:

• Safety rating (in the left lower corner). The star rating explains the opinion other people have about NVDA, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Reviews by other people - Click on the Read reviews button.
• Details about the application you are about to uninstall, by clicking on the Properties button.

For instance you can see that for NVDA:

• The software company is: http://www.nvaccess.org/
• The uninstall string is: C:\Program Files (x86)\NVDA\uninstall.exe

7. Press the Uninstall button. A confirmation window will show up. accept the removal by pressing Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will uninstall NVDA.


8. After uninstalling NVDA, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will ask you to run a cleanup. Click Next to perform the cleanup. All the items that belong NVDA which have been left behind will be detected and you will be able to delete them. By removing NVDA using Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you can be sure that no Windows registry entries, files or folders are left behind on your system.

Your Windows system will remain clean, speedy and ready to take on new tasks.
