How to uninstall NVDA from your computer

You can find below details on how to remove NVDA for Windows. It was developed for Windows by NV Access. Open here where you can find out more on NV Access. More information about NVDA can be seen at http://www.nvaccess.org/. The application is frequently found in the C:\Program Files (x86)\NVDA folder (same installation drive as Windows). The full command line for uninstalling NVDA is C:\Program Files (x86)\NVDA\uninstall.exe. Note that if you will type this command in Start / Run Note you might get a notification for administrator rights. The application's main executable file is labeled nvda_uiAccess.exe and it has a size of 65.17 KB (66736 bytes).

How to delete NVDA with the help of Advanced Uninstaller PRO

NVDA is a program marketed by NV Access. Some users want to uninstall this program. Sometimes this is efortful because removing this by hand takes some know-how regarding removing Windows programs manually. The best SIMPLE practice to uninstall NVDA is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Here are some detailed instructions about how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO already installed on your Windows PC, install it. This is good because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is one of the best uninstaller and all around tool to take care of your Windows system.

• set up Advanced Uninstaller PRO

3. Click on the General Tools button


4. Activate the Uninstall Programs tool


5. A list of the applications installed on your computer will appear

6. Navigate the list of applications until you find NVDA or simply click the Search feature and type in "NVDA". The NVDA program will be found automatically. When you select NVDA in the list of apps, some information regarding the application is available to you:

• Star rating (in the left lower corner). The star rating tells you the opinion other users have regarding NVDA, from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Reviews by other users - Click on the Read reviews button.
• Technical information regarding the program you wish to uninstall, by clicking on the Properties button.

For example you can see that for NVDA:

• The publisher is: http://www.nvaccess.org/
• The uninstall string is: C:\Program Files (x86)\NVDA\uninstall.exe

7. Press the Uninstall button. A confirmation page will come up. Confirm the uninstall by pressing Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will then remove NVDA.


8. After removing NVDA, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will offer to run a cleanup. Click Next to start the cleanup. All the items of NVDA which have been left behind will be detected and you will be asked if you want to delete them. By removing NVDA with Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you are assured that no Windows registry entries, files or folders are left behind on your system.
