How to uninstall Freeplane from your PC

A way to uninstall Freeplane from your PC using Advanced Uninstaller PRO

Freeplane is an application offered by the software company Open source. Some computer users want to remove it. This can be hard because performing this by hand takes some skill regarding Windows program uninstallation. One of the best QUICK practice to remove Freeplane is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take the following steps on how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO already installed on your PC, add it. This is a good step because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very useful uninstaller and general tool to take care of your PC.

  • navigate to Download Link
  • download the setup by clicking on the DOWNLOAD button
  • set up Advanced Uninstaller PRO
2. Start Advanced Uninstaller PRO. It's recommended to take some time to admire the program's interface and wealth of functions available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very useful PC management program.

3. Press the General Tools button

4. Press the Uninstall Programs feature

5. A list of the applications installed on the computer will be made available to you

6. Navigate the list of applications until you find Freeplane or simply activate the Search feature and type in "Freeplane". If it exists on your system the Freeplane program will be found automatically. Notice that after you click Freeplane in the list of programs, some information regarding the program is shown to you:


  • Safety rating (in the left lower corner). This explains the opinion other users have regarding Freeplane, from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
  • Opinions by other users - Press the Read reviews button.
  • Details regarding the app you are about to remove, by clicking on the Properties button.

  • The uninstall string is: "C:\Program Files\Freeplane\unins000.exe"
7. Click the Uninstall button. A confirmation dialog will come up. Confirm the uninstall by pressing the Uninstall button. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will then uninstall Freeplane.

8. After removing Freeplane, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will ask you to run an additional cleanup. Click Next to go ahead with the cleanup. All the items that belong Freeplane that have been left behind will be found and you will be able to delete them. By removing Freeplane using Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you are assured that no registry entries, files or folders are left behind on your system.

Your computer will remain clean, speedy and ready to serve you properly.
