How to uninstall Freeplane from your PC

A way to uninstall Freeplane from your PC using Advanced Uninstaller PRO

Freeplane is an application offered by the software company Open source. Some computer users want to remove it. This can be hard because performing this by hand takes some skill regarding Windows program uninstallation. One of the best QUICK practice to remove Freeplane is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take the following steps on how to do this:

1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO already installed on your Windows system, install it. This is a good step because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very efficient uninstaller and general utility to optimize your Windows system.

2. Run Advanced Uninstaller PRO. It's recommended to take some time to admire Advanced Uninstaller PRO's interface and wealth of tools available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very good program.

3. Click on the General Tools category

4. Activate the Uninstall Programs tool

5. All the programs installed on your computer will be shown to you

6. Navigate the list of programs until you locate Freeplane or simply activate the Search feature and type in "Freeplane". If it exists on your system the Freeplane application will be found very quickly. When you click Freeplane in the list of applications, the following information regarding the application is available to you:


  • Star rating (in the lower left corner). The star rating tells you the opinion other people have regarding Freeplane, from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
  • Reviews by other people - Click on the Read reviews button.
  • Technical information regarding the app you are about to remove, by clicking on the Properties button.

  • The uninstall string is: "C:\Program Files\Freeplane\unins000.exe"
7. Click the Uninstall button. A confirmation dialog will come up. Confirm the uninstall by pressing the Uninstall button. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will then uninstall Freeplane.

8. After removing Freeplane, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will ask you to run an additional cleanup. Click Next to go ahead with the cleanup. All the items that belong Freeplane that have been left behind will be found and you will be able to delete them. By removing Freeplane using Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you are assured that no registry entries, files or folders are left behind on your system.
