How to uninstall Fiddler from your PC

Fiddler is a Windows application. Read below about how to remove it from your computer. It was coded for Windows by Telerik. You can find out more on Telerik or check for application updates here. More information about the application Fiddler can be seen at http://fiddler2.com/. Usually the Fiddler application is found in the C:\Program Files (x86)\Fiddler2 directory, depending on the user's option during setup. C:\Program Files (x86)\Fiddler2\uninst.exe is the full command line if you want to remove Fiddler. Fiddler.exe is the programs's main file and it takes close to 1.16 MB (1220560 bytes) on disk.

A considerable amount of files, folders and Windows registry data can not be deleted when you remove Fiddler from your computer.

Folders left behind when you uninstall Fiddler:

• C:\Fiddler2

Check for and delete the following files from your disk when you uninstall Fiddler:

• C:\Fiddler2\Be.Windows.Forms.HexBox.dll
• C:\Fiddler2\Countdown.wav
• C:\Fiddler2\credits.txt
• C:\Fiddler2\ExecAction.exe

Registry that is not uninstalled:

A way to uninstall Fiddler with the help of Advanced Uninstaller PRO

Fiddler is an application by Telerik. Sometimes, people choose to erase it. Sometimes this is difficult because doing this by hand requires some knowledge related to Windows internal functioning. 3. Press the General Tools button


4. Press the Uninstall Programs button


5. All the programs existing on your PC will be shown to you

6. Navigate the list of programs until you locate Fiddler or simply click the Search feature and type in "Fiddler". If it exists on your system the Fiddler app will be found automatically. Notice that after you click Fiddler in the list of programs, some information about the program is shown to you:

• Star rating (in the lower left corner). This tells you the opinion other users have about Fiddler, from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Opinions by other users - Press the Read reviews button.
• Details about the program you wish to uninstall, by pressing the Properties button.

For example you can see that for Fiddler:

• The web site of the program is: http://fiddler2.com/
• The uninstall string is: C:\Program Files (x86)\Fiddler2\uninst.exe

7. Press the Uninstall button. A confirmation dialog will show up. Confirm the removal by pressing the Uninstall button. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will automatically uninstall Fiddler.


8. After uninstalling Fiddler, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will ask you to run a cleanup. Press Next to perform the cleanup. All the items of Fiddler which have been left behind will be found and you will be asked if you want to delete them. By removing Fiddler with Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you can be sure that no Windows registry items, files or folders are left behind on your PC.
