How to uninstall GitHub Desktop from your PC

A way to erase GitHub Desktop from your PC with the help of Advanced Uninstaller PRO

GitHub Desktop is an application by the software company GitHub, Inc.. Sometimes, people try to remove this program. 6. Navigate the list of applications until you locate GitHub Desktop or simply activate the Search field and type in "GitHub Desktop". The GitHub Desktop application will be found automatically. Notice that after you click GitHub Desktop in the list of programs, some information about the program is made available to you:


  • Safety rating (in the left lower corner). This explains the opinion other people have about GitHub Desktop, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
  • Reviews by other people - Click on the Read reviews button.
  • Details about the application you want to uninstall, by clicking on the Properties button.
7. Click the Uninstall button. A confirmation page will appear. Confirm the removal by pressing Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will remove GitHub Desktop.

8. After removing GitHub Desktop, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will offer to run an additional cleanup. Click Next to go ahead with the cleanup. All the items of GitHub Desktop that have been left behind will be detected and you will be asked if you want to delete them. By uninstalling GitHub Desktop with Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you can be sure that no registry entries, files or directories are left behind on your computer.
