How to uninstall GitHub Desktop from your computer

How to erase GitHub Desktop using Advanced Uninstaller PRO

GitHub Desktop is a program by the software company GitHub, Inc.. Sometimes, people decide to uninstall this application. Sometimes this can be difficult because performing this manually requires some experience regarding removing Windows programs manually. One of the best QUICK manner to uninstall GitHub Desktop is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Here is how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO already installed on your PC, install it. This is a good step because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is an efficient uninstaller and all around utility to take care of your system.

• go to Download Link
• download the setup by clicking on the green DOWNLOAD NOW button
• install Advanced Uninstaller PRO

2. Run Advanced Uninstaller PRO. It's recommended to take some time to get familiar with Advanced Uninstaller PRO's interface and number of tools available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a powerful Windows tool.

3. Click on the General Tools button


4. Activate the Uninstall Programs button


5. A list of the applications existing on your computer will appear

6. Scroll the list of applications until you locate GitHub Desktop or simply click the Search feature and type in "GitHub Desktop". The GitHub Desktop app will be found very quickly. Notice that after you select GitHub Desktop in the list of apps, the following information regarding the application is available to you:

• Safety rating (in the left lower corner). The star rating tells you the opinion other people have regarding GitHub Desktop, from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Opinions by other people - Click on the Read reviews button.
• Details regarding the program you want to uninstall, by clicking on the Properties button.

7. Press the Uninstall button. A confirmation dialog will come up. accept the uninstall by clicking Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will uninstall GitHub Desktop.


8. After uninstalling GitHub Desktop, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will ask you to run an additional cleanup. Click Next to start the cleanup. All the items that belong GitHub Desktop which have been left behind will be found and you will be asked if you want to delete them. By removing GitHub Desktop using Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you are assured that no Windows registry items, files or folders are left behind on your computer.
