How to remove CMake from your computer using Advanced Uninstaller PRO

CMake is a program by Kitware. Sometimes, people want to uninstall this application. This is easier said than done because uninstalling this by hand requires some experience regarding Windows program uninstallation. One of the best EASY way to uninstall CMake is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Here is how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO already installed on your PC, install it. This is good because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is one of the best uninstaller and general utility to take care of your system.

  • download the setup by pressing the DOWNLOAD button
  • install Advanced Uninstaller PRO
2. Run Advanced Uninstaller PRO. It's recommended to take some time to get familiar with Advanced Uninstaller PRO's interface and number of functions available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very good Windows optimizer.

3. Press the General Tools category

5. A list of the programs existing on the computer will be shown to you

6. Navigate the list of programs until you locate CMake or simply click the Search field and type in "CMake". If it exists on your system the CMake app will be found very quickly. Notice that when you select CMake in the list of applications, the following information regarding the application is available to you:


  • Safety rating (in the lower left corner). This tells you the opinion other people have regarding CMake, from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
  • Reviews by other people - Press the Read reviews button.
  • Technical information regarding the app you wish to remove, by pressing the Properties button.

All the items that belong CMake that have been left behind will be found and you will be asked if you want to delete them.
