How to uninstall CMake from your system

CMake is a software application. CMake is comprised of the following executables which take 46.72 MB (48987856 bytes) on disk:

  • cmake-gui.exe (19.37 MB)
  • cmake.exe (8.55 MB)
  • cmcldeps.exe (1.04 MB)
  • cpack.exe (8.54 MB)
  • ctest.exe (9.22 MB)

How to uninstall CMake with the help of Advanced Uninstaller PRO

CMake is a program offered by the software company Kitware. Some users decide to remove this program. This can be difficult because performing this manually takes some knowledge related to Windows internal functioning. The best QUICK way to remove CMake is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take the following steps on how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO on your system, add it. This is a good step because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is an efficient uninstaller and all around utility to clean your PC.

  • go to Download Link
  • download the program by clicking on the DOWNLOAD NOW button
  • set up Advanced Uninstaller PRO
2. Start Advanced Uninstaller PRO. It's recommended to take some time to admire the program's interface and number of features available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a powerful system utility.

3. Press the General Tools category

4. Click on the Uninstall Programs feature

5. All the applications existing on your computer will appear

6. Navigate the list of applications until you locate CMake or simply activate the Search feature and type in "CMake". If it exists on your system the CMake program will be found automatically. Notice that after you select CMake in the list of programs, the following information regarding the program is made available to you:


  • Safety rating (in the left lower corner). The star rating explains the opinion other people have regarding CMake, from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
  • Opinions by other people - Press the Read reviews button.
  • Details regarding the application you are about to remove, by clicking on the Properties button.

7. Press the Uninstall button. A confirmation dialog will come up. Confirm the removal by clicking Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will uninstall CMake.

8. After uninstalling CMake, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will offer to run a cleanup. Press Next to proceed with the cleanup. All the items of CMake that have been left behind will be found and you will be able to delete them. By removing CMake with Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you are assured that no Windows registry items, files or folders are left behind on your disk.
