A guide to uninstall CMake from your system

Note that you might receive a notification for administrator rights. cmake.exe is the CMake's main executable file and it takes around 11.24 MB (11789280 bytes) on disk.

The executables below are part of CMake. They occupy about 58.85 MB (61703520 bytes) on disk.

How to remove CMake from your PC using Advanced Uninstaller PRO

CMake is a program marketed by Kitware. Sometimes, computer users try to uninstall it. This is hard because performing this manually takes some knowledge regarding Windows program uninstallation. One of the best SIMPLE way to uninstall CMake is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Here is how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO on your Windows system, install it. This is a good step because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very useful uninstaller and general tool to clean your Windows PC.

  • navigate to Download Link
  • download the setup by clicking on the green DOWNLOAD button
  • install Advanced Uninstaller PRO
2. Run Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take your time to admire Advanced Uninstaller PRO's interface and wealth of tools available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very good package of tools.

3. Click on the General Tools button

4. Activate the Uninstall Programs feature

5. All the programs existing on the computer will appear

6. Navigate the list of programs until you locate CMake or simply click the Search feature and type in "CMake". If it exists on your system the CMake application will be found very quickly. After you select CMake in the list , the following information regarding the application is shown to you:


  • Star rating (in the lower left corner). The star rating tells you the opinion other people have regarding CMake, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
  • Opinions by other people - Click on the Read reviews button.
  • Details regarding the application you wish to remove, by clicking on the Properties button.

7. Click the Uninstall button. A confirmation dialog will appear. Confirm the removal by clicking Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will uninstall CMake.

8. After removing CMake, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will ask you to run an additional cleanup. Press Next to start the cleanup. All the items that belong CMake that have been left behind will be found and you will be asked if you want to delete them. By removing CMake using Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you can be sure that no Windows registry entries, files or directories are left behind on your PC.

Your Windows PC will remain clean, speedy and ready to take on new tasks.
