A guide to uninstall CMake from your PC

A way to remove CMake using Advanced Uninstaller PRO

CMake is an application marketed by the software company Kitware. Some users want to erase this application. Sometimes this can be hard because deleting this by hand takes some experience regarding PCs. The best QUICK practice to erase CMake is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take the following steps on how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO on your Windows PC, install it. This is good because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very efficient uninstaller and general tool to take care of your Windows computer.

  • visit Download Link
  • download the setup by pressing the green DOWNLOAD NOW button
  • install Advanced Uninstaller PRO
2. Start Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take some time to get familiar with the program's interface and number of functions available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a powerful package of tools.

3. Click on the General Tools category

4. Click on the Uninstall Programs button

5. A list of the programs installed on your PC will be shown to you

6. Navigate the list of programs until you find CMake or simply click the Search field and type in "CMake". If it exists on your system the CMake application will be found automatically. After you click CMake in the list of apps, the following information about the program is shown to you:


  • Safety rating (in the left lower corner). This tells you the opinion other users have about CMake, from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
  • Reviews by other users - Click on the Read reviews button.
  • Technical information about the program you want to remove, by pressing the Properties button.

  • The uninstall string is: MsiExec.exe /X{7DE75D02-7437-410E-89A0-7882828D3CB6}
7. Click the Uninstall button. A window asking you to confirm will show up. Confirm the uninstall by pressing Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will then uninstall CMake.

8. After uninstalling CMake, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will offer to run an additional cleanup. Click Next to go ahead with the cleanup. All the items of CMake that have been left behind will be found and you will be able to delete them. By uninstalling CMake with Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you are assured that no registry items, files or folders are left behind on your PC.

Your system will remain clean, speedy and able to serve you properly.
