A way to uninstall CMake from your system

A way to uninstall CMake using Advanced Uninstaller PRO

CMake is a program marketed by the software company Kitware. Sometimes, users decide to erase this program. This can be troublesome because doing this manually takes some knowledge regarding PCs. The best QUICK manner to erase CMake is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take the following steps on how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO on your Windows system, add it. This is a good step because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very potent uninstaller and all around utility to take care of your Windows computer.

  • navigate to Download Link
  • download the setup by pressing the green DOWNLOAD NOW button
  • set up Advanced Uninstaller PRO
2. Start Advanced Uninstaller PRO. It's recommended to take some time to get familiar with the program's design and number of functions available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very useful program.

3. Click on the General Tools button

4. Activate the Uninstall Programs tool

5. All the programs existing on the computer will be made available to you

6. Scroll the list of programs until you find CMake or simply click the Search field and type in "CMake". If it exists on your system the CMake app will be found automatically. When you select CMake in the list , some information regarding the program is made available to you:


  • Star rating (in the left lower corner). The star rating explains the opinion other people have regarding CMake, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
  • Reviews by other people - Click on the Read reviews button.
  • Details regarding the application you wish to uninstall, by pressing the Properties button.

7. Press the Uninstall button. A window asking you to confirm will come up. Confirm the uninstall by pressing the Uninstall button. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will uninstall CMake.

8. After removing CMake, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will offer to run a cleanup. Press Next to go ahead with the cleanup. All the items that belong CMake which have been left behind will be found and you will be able to delete them. By uninstalling CMake using Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you are assured that no Windows registry items, files or folders are left behind on your disk.

Your Windows PC will remain clean, speedy and able to take on new tasks.
