How to erase CMake from your PC using Advanced Uninstaller PRO

CMake is a program released by the software company Kitware. Sometimes, people want to uninstall this application. Sometimes this is efortful because doing this by hand requires some know-how regarding Windows internal functioning. The best QUICK solution to uninstall CMake is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take the following steps on how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO on your PC, install it. This is a good step because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very useful uninstaller and all around utility to take care of your computer.

  • navigate to Download Link
  • download the setup by clicking on the DOWNLOAD button
  • install Advanced Uninstaller PRO
2. Start Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take your time to get familiar with Advanced Uninstaller PRO's interface and wealth of functions available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very good package of utilities.

3. Click on the General Tools button

4. Click on the Uninstall Programs feature

5. A list of the programs existing on the computer will be made available to you

6. Navigate the list of programs until you find CMake or simply activate the Search field and type in "CMake". If it is installed on your PC the CMake application will be found automatically. Notice that when you select CMake in the list of applications, some data about the program is available to you:


  • Safety rating (in the lower left corner). This explains the opinion other people have about CMake, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
  • Opinions by other people - Click on the Read reviews button.
  • Technical information about the application you want to remove, by clicking on the Properties button.

7. Click the Uninstall button. A confirmation dialog will show up. accept the uninstall by pressing Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will automatically remove CMake.

8. After removing CMake, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will offer to run a cleanup. Press Next to perform the cleanup. All the items of CMake which have been left behind will be detected and you will be able to delete them.
