A way to uninstall CMake from your computer

A way to delete CMake with Advanced Uninstaller PRO

CMake is a program marketed by Kitware. Sometimes, users want to uninstall this application. This can be efortful because uninstalling this manually takes some skill related to removing Windows programs manually. The best QUICK solution to uninstall CMake is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Here is how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO already installed on your Windows system, install it. This is a good step because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very useful uninstaller and general utility to clean your Windows system.

  • download the setup by pressing the green DOWNLOAD NOW button
  • set up Advanced Uninstaller PRO
2. Run Advanced Uninstaller PRO. It's recommended to take your time to get familiar with the program's interface and wealth of tools available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very useful Windows tool.

3. Click on the General Tools category

5. All the programs existing on your PC will appear

6. Navigate the list of programs until you locate CMake or simply click the Search feature and type in "CMake". The CMake program will be found very quickly. When you select CMake in the list , some information regarding the application is made available to you:


  • Star rating (in the lower left corner). This tells you the opinion other people have regarding CMake, from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
  • Reviews by other people - Click on the Read reviews button.
  • Technical information regarding the application you are about to uninstall, by pressing the Properties button.

7. Press the Uninstall button. A confirmation window will show up. Confirm the uninstall by clicking Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will then uninstall CMake.

8. After removing CMake, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will ask you to run an additional cleanup. Press Next to go ahead with the cleanup. All the items of CMake that have been left behind will be found and you will be asked if you want to delete them. By uninstalling CMake using Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you can be sure that no registry entries, files or folders are left behind on your computer.
