A way to uninstall CMake from your PC using Advanced Uninstaller PRO

CMake is a program offered by Kitware. Frequently, computer users choose to erase this program. Sometimes this is difficult because removing this manually requires some advanced knowledge related to PCs. The best SIMPLE solution to erase CMake is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Here is how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO on your PC, install it. This is a good step because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very useful uninstaller and all around utility to maximize the performance of your PC.

  • download the program by clicking on the green DOWNLOAD button
  • install Advanced Uninstaller PRO
2. Start Advanced Uninstaller PRO. It's recommended to take your time to get familiar with Advanced Uninstaller PRO's interface and number of tools available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a powerful PC management program.

3. Click on the General Tools button

4. Click on the Uninstall Programs feature

5. All the applications installed on the PC will appear

6. Scroll the list of applications until you find CMake or simply activate the Search field and type in "CMake". If it is installed on your PC the CMake app will be found very quickly. After you click CMake in the list , some information about the program is available to you:


  • Safety rating (in the lower left corner). The star rating tells you the opinion other people have about CMake, from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
  • Opinions by other people - Click on the Read reviews button.
  • Details about the program you want to uninstall, by clicking on the Properties button.

7. Click the Uninstall button. A window asking you to confirm will show up. accept the uninstall by clicking the Uninstall button. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will uninstall CMake.

All the items of CMake that have been left behind will be found and you will be able to delete them.
