When you're planning to uninstall GNS3 you should check if the following data is left behind on your PC.

The files below were left behind on your disk by GNS3 when you uninstall it:

• C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.Windows.Search_cw5n1h2txyewy\LocalState\AppIconCache\125\E__Programy_gns3_exe

Registry that is not removed:

Use regedit.exe to remove the following additional registry values from the Windows Registry:

A way to erase GNS3 using Advanced Uninstaller PRO

GNS3 is an application by GNS3 Technology Inc.. Some computer users try to remove this application. This can be troublesome because removing this manually requires some advanced knowledge related to PCs. One of the best QUICK procedure to remove GNS3 is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Here are some detailed instructions about how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO already installed on your PC, add it. This is good because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very potent uninstaller and general tool to take care of your computer.

3. Click on the General Tools category


4. Click on the Uninstall Programs button


5. A list of the applications existing on the PC will be shown to you

6. Navigate the list of applications until you find GNS3 or simply activate the Search field and type in "GNS3". If it exists on your system the GNS3 app will be found very quickly. Notice that after you click GNS3 in the list of programs, some information about the program is available to you:

• Safety rating (in the left lower corner). This tells you the opinion other users have about GNS3, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Reviews by other users - Click on the Read reviews button.
• Details about the application you want to uninstall, by pressing the Properties button.

For instance you can see that for GNS3:

• The software company is: http://www.gns3.com
• The uninstall string is: C:\Program Files\GNS3\Uninstall.exe

7. Press the Uninstall button. A confirmation dialog will show up. Confirm the uninstall by pressing Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will automatically uninstall GNS3.


8. After uninstalling GNS3, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will offer to run a cleanup. Press Next to go ahead with the cleanup. All the items that belong GNS3 that have been left behind will be found and you will be able to delete them.
