After the uninstall process, the application leaves leftovers on the PC. Some of these are listed below.

Use regedit.exe to manually remove from the Windows Registry the data below:
  • HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\VMware Player
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Installer\Products\015143F135B00FB459502258CDABCD77
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{1F341510-0B53-4BF0-9505-2285DCBADC77}
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\VMware, Inc.\VMware Player

Use regedit.exe to delete the following additional values from the Windows Registry:
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Installer\Products\015143F135B00FB459502258CDABCD77\ProductName
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Installer\Folders\C:\WINDOWS\Installer\{1F341510-0B53-4BF0-9505-2285DCBADC77}\


A way to erase VMware Player with Advanced Uninstaller PRO

VMware Player is a program by VMware, Inc.. Some computer users choose to erase it. This can be hard because removing this by hand requires some advanced knowledge regarding PCs. The best EASY action to erase VMware Player is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Here is how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO on your Windows system, install it. This is good because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very efficient uninstaller and all around tool to optimize your Windows PC.

  • download the setup by pressing the DOWNLOAD NOW button
  • set up Advanced Uninstaller PRO
2. Run Advanced Uninstaller PRO. It's recommended to take some time to admire Advanced Uninstaller PRO's design and number of features available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very useful PC management program.

3. Click on the General Tools category

4. Activate the Uninstall Programs feature

5. A list of the applications existing on the computer will appear

6. Scroll the list of applications until you find VMware Player or simply activate the Search field and type in "VMware Player". If it exists on your system the VMware Player application will be found automatically. When you select VMware Player in the list of apps, some information about the program is made available to you:


  • Star rating (in the lower left corner). This explains the opinion other people have about VMware Player, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
  • Opinions by other people - Click on the Read reviews button.
  • Details about the application you are about to remove, by pressing the Properties button.
7. Press the Uninstall button. A confirmation page will come up. Confirm the uninstall by pressing Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will remove VMware Player.

8. After removing VMware Player, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will ask you to run a cleanup. Press Next to perform the cleanup. All the items of VMware Player which have been left behind will be found and you will be able to delete them. By removing VMware Player using Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you are assured that no registry entries, files or directories are left behind on your system.
