If you are manually uninstalling VMware Player we suggest you to check if the following data is left behind on your PC.

You will find in the Windows Registry that the following keys will not be cleaned; remove them one by one using regedit.exe:

• HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\VMware Player
• HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\VMware, Inc.\VMware Player
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Installer\Products\2164324DD988F9A418BFD26E971D63E4
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{D4234612-889D-4A9F-81FB-2DE679D1364E}
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\VMware, Inc.\VMware Player
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Wow6432Node\VMware, Inc.\VMware Player

Additional registry values that you should remove:

• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Installer\Products\2164324DD988F9A418BFD26E971D63E4\ProductName

How to uninstall VMware Player with the help of Advanced Uninstaller PRO

VMware Player is an application by VMware, Inc.. Sometimes, computer users want to uninstall this program. 1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO already installed on your PC, install it. This is a good step because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very potent uninstaller and all around tool to clean your system.

• install Advanced Uninstaller PRO

2. Run Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take some time to get familiar with Advanced Uninstaller PRO's interface and number of tools available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very useful package of tools.

3. Press the General Tools category


4. Click on the Uninstall Programs button


5. A list of the programs existing on the PC will be made available to you

6. Scroll the list of programs until you find VMware Player or simply activate the Search feature and type in "VMware Player". If it is installed on your PC the VMware Player application will be found very quickly. After you click VMware Player in the list of applications, the following data about the program is available to you:

• Safety rating (in the lower left corner). This tells you the opinion other people have about VMware Player, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Reviews by other people - Press the Read reviews button.
• Technical information about the program you wish to remove, by pressing the Properties button.

7. Press the Uninstall button. A confirmation page will come up. accept the removal by pressing Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will remove VMware Player.


8. After uninstalling VMware Player, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will ask you to run an additional cleanup. Click Next to start the cleanup. All the items that belong VMware Player which have been left behind will be found and you will be asked if you want to delete them. By removing VMware Player using Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you are assured that no registry items, files or directories are left behind on your PC.
