When you're planning to uninstall VMware Player you should check if the following data is left behind on your PC.

Use regedit.exe to manually remove from the Windows Registry the data below:
  • HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\VMware Player
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Installer\Products\CEF2EDDDC464D0D4CBCBF9B4A46002B9
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{DDDE2FEC-464C-4D0D-BCBC-9F4B4A06209B}

Open regedit.exe to remove the values below from the Windows Registry:

A way to remove VMware Player from your computer with the help of Advanced Uninstaller PRO

3. Press the General Tools button

5. All the applications installed on your PC will be made available to you

6. Scroll the list of applications until you locate VMware Player or simply click the Search field and type in "VMware Player". If it is installed on your PC the VMware Player app will be found automatically. Notice that when you click VMware Player in the list of programs, some information about the application is available to you:


  • Star rating (in the left lower corner). The star rating tells you the opinion other people have about VMware Player, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
  • Reviews by other people - Press the Read reviews button.
  • Technical information about the program you want to uninstall, by pressing the Properties button.
7. Press the Uninstall button. A confirmation dialog will come up. accept the uninstall by pressing Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will automatically remove VMware Player.
