Some files and registry entries are typically left behind when you uninstall VMware Player.

Directories left on disk:

• C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Local\VMware\vmware-download-2970\cdstmp_player-windows_16.2.0_18760230

Check for and delete the following files from your disk when you uninstall VMware Player:

• C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Local\VMware\vmware-download-2970\cdstmp_player-windows_16.2.0_18760230\VMware-player-16.2.0-18760230.exe

Usually the following registry keys will not be removed:

• HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\VMware Player
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Installer\Products\FBE6F7CF56B1B934D98EC0433D9C0CA3
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{FC7F6EBF-1B65-439B-9DE8-0C34D3C9C03A}
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\VMware, Inc.\VMware Player
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Wow6432Node\VMware, Inc.\VMware Player

Open regedit.exe to remove the registry values below from the Windows Registry:

• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Installer\Products\FBE6F7CF56B1B934D98EC0433D9C0CA3\ProductName
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Installer\Folders\C:\WINDOWS\Installer\{FC7F6EBF-1B65-439B-9DE8-0C34D3C9C03A}\

How to uninstall VMware Player with Advanced Uninstaller PRO

VMware Player is a program released by the software company VMware, Inc.. Frequently, people decide to uninstall this program. • Star rating (in the lower left corner). The star rating tells you the opinion other people have regarding VMware Player, from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Opinions by other people - Press the Read reviews button.
• Details regarding the program you want to uninstall, by clicking on the Properties button.

7. Click the Uninstall button. A confirmation dialog will come up. Confirm the removal by pressing Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will then uninstall VMware Player.
