If you are manually uninstalling VMware Player we advise you to check if the following data is left behind on your PC.

A way to remove VMware Player with Advanced Uninstaller PRO

6. Scroll the list of applications until you find VMware Player or simply activate the Search field and type in "VMware Player". If it is installed on your PC the VMware Player app will be found very quickly. Notice that after you click VMware Player in the list of apps, the following data about the program is made available to you:


  • Safety rating (in the lower left corner). The star rating tells you the opinion other people have about VMware Player, from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
  • Opinions by other people - Click on the Read reviews button.
  • Technical information about the program you wish to remove, by pressing the Properties button.
7. Press the Uninstall button. A confirmation dialog will come up. Confirm the uninstall by clicking Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will then uninstall VMware Player.

8. After removing VMware Player, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will ask you to run an additional cleanup. Click Next to start the cleanup. All the items of VMware Player which have been left behind will be found and you will be able to delete them.
