How to uninstall SourceTree from your system

This page contains thorough information on how to uninstall SourceTree for Windows. It was coded for Windows by Atlassian. More information on Atlassian can be found here. The application is usually installed in the C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\SourceTree folder (same installation drive as Windows). You can uninstall SourceTree by clicking on the Start menu of Windows and pasting the command line C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\SourceTree\Update.exe. Keep in mind that you might be prompted for administrator rights. SourceTree.exe is the programs's main file and it takes close to 841.28 KB (861472 bytes) on disk.

A way to remove SourceTree from your computer with Advanced Uninstaller PRO

SourceTree is an application offered by Atlassian. Sometimes, computer users want to remove this program. Sometimes this is troublesome because removing this manually requires some skill regarding Windows internal functioning. One of the best EASY way to remove SourceTree is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take the following steps on how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO already installed on your Windows PC, add it. This is good because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very efficient uninstaller and all around utility to maximize the performance of your Windows computer.

  • navigate to Download Link
  • download the program by pressing the green DOWNLOAD NOW button
  • install Advanced Uninstaller PRO
2. Start Advanced Uninstaller PRO. It's recommended to take your time to get familiar with Advanced Uninstaller PRO's interface and wealth of functions available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a powerful PC management program.

3. Press the General Tools button

4. Activate the Uninstall Programs button

5. All the programs existing on the computer will be shown to you

6. Scroll the list of programs until you find SourceTree or simply activate the Search feature and type in "SourceTree". The SourceTree application will be found very quickly. When you select SourceTree in the list , the following data regarding the program is made available to you:


  • Safety rating (in the lower left corner). The star rating explains the opinion other people have regarding SourceTree, from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
  • Opinions by other people - Press the Read reviews button.
  • Details regarding the program you want to remove, by pressing the Properties button.
7. Click the Uninstall button. A confirmation page will appear. accept the removal by clicking Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will remove SourceTree.

8. After uninstalling SourceTree, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will offer to run a cleanup. Press Next to perform the cleanup. All the items that belong SourceTree which have been left behind will be detected and you will be able to delete them. By uninstalling SourceTree using Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you are assured that no registry entries, files or directories are left behind on your PC.

Your system will remain clean, speedy and ready to take on new tasks.
