After the uninstall process, the application leaves leftovers on the PC. Part_A few of these are shown below.

You should delete the folders below after you uninstall SourceTree:
  • C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Local\SourceTree
  • C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Roaming\Atlassian\SourceTree.exe_Url_3iiuuuchyx5qx2t45mdvtwga0imx2eou

The files below remain on your disk by SourceTree's application uninstaller when you removed it:
  • C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\CLR_v4.0\UsageLogs\SourceTree.exe.log
  • C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Local\SourceTree\Update.exe
  • C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Roaming\Atlassian\SourceTree.exe_Url_3iiuuuchyx5qx2t45mdvtwga0imx2eou\3.4.9.0\user.config

You will find in the Windows Registry that the following keys will not be removed; remove them one by one using regedit.exe:
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Atlassian\SourceTree
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Installer\Products\2A210E872074EC54C8456D7656292DFA
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\SourceTree 1.6.22

Supplementary registry values that are not removed:

How to remove SourceTree from your PC using Advanced Uninstaller PRO

SourceTree is an application released by the software company Atlassian. Some users decide to uninstall this application. Sometimes this can be troublesome because performing this by hand takes some advanced knowledge related to Windows internal functioning. One of the best SIMPLE approach to uninstall SourceTree is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Here are some detailed instructions about how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO already installed on your Windows PC, add it. This is good because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is the best uninstaller and all around tool to take care of your Windows computer.

  • download the program by pressing the green DOWNLOAD button

2. Run Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take some time to admire Advanced Uninstaller PRO's interface and wealth of features available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very useful Windows optimizer.

3. Click on the General Tools button

5. All the applications installed on your computer will be shown to you

6. Scroll the list of applications until you locate SourceTree or simply activate the Search feature and type in "SourceTree". The SourceTree application will be found automatically. After you click SourceTree in the list of apps, the following information regarding the application is made available to you:


  • Safety rating (in the left lower corner). The star rating explains the opinion other users have regarding SourceTree, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
  • Reviews by other users - Click on the Read reviews button.
  • Details regarding the application you want to uninstall, by pressing the Properties button.

7. Click the Uninstall button. A window asking you to confirm will come up. Confirm the removal by pressing the Uninstall button. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will uninstall SourceTree.

8. After removing SourceTree, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will offer to run an additional cleanup. Press Next to proceed with the cleanup. All the items of SourceTree which have been left behind will be found and you will be asked if you want to delete them.
