A way to uninstall VMware Tools from your PC

VMware Tools is a software application. A way to remove VMware Tools using Advanced Uninstaller PRO

VMware Tools is an application marketed by the software company VMware, Inc.. Some computer users decide to erase this program. Sometimes this can be hard because deleting this by hand requires some advanced knowledge related to Windows program uninstallation. One of the best EASY way to erase VMware Tools is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Here is how to do this:

1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO on your PC, install it. This is good because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is one of the best uninstaller and all around tool to take care of your computer.


2. Run Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take some time to get familiar with Advanced Uninstaller PRO's design and wealth of tools available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very useful system optimizer.

3. Click on the General Tools button

4. Activate the Uninstall Programs feature

5. All the applications installed on the computer will be made available to you

6. Navigate the list of applications until you find VMware Tools or simply click the Search field and type in "VMware Tools". If it exists on your system the VMware Tools app will be found automatically. Notice that when you select VMware Tools in the list of apps, some information regarding the application is shown to you:

  • Safety rating (in the left lower corner). The star rating explains the opinion other people have regarding VMware Tools, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
  • Reviews by other people - Click on the Read reviews button.
  • Details regarding the program you are about to remove, by pressing the Properties button.

7. Press the Uninstall button. A window asking you to confirm will come up. accept the removal by clicking Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will then uninstall VMware Tools.

8. After uninstalling VMware Tools, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will ask you to run a cleanup. Click Next to proceed with the cleanup. All the items that belong VMware Tools which have been left behind will be detected and you will be able to delete them. By removing VMware Tools with Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you can be sure that no Windows registry items, files or directories are left behind on your system.
