How to uninstall VMware Tools from your computer

VMware Tools is a Windows program. A way to erase VMware Tools from your PC using Advanced Uninstaller PRO

VMware Tools is an application offered by the software company VMware, Inc.. Frequently, people choose to remove this program. Take the following steps on how to do this:

1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO on your system, install it. This is good because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very potent uninstaller and all around tool to take care of your system.

3. Press the General Tools category

5. A list of the applications existing on the computer will appear

6. Scroll the list of applications until you locate VMware Tools or simply click the Search feature and type in "VMware Tools". If it exists on your system the VMware Tools application will be found automatically. After you click VMware Tools in the list of apps, the following data regarding the application is available to you:


  • Star rating (in the left lower corner). The star rating explains the opinion other people have regarding VMware Tools, from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
  • Opinions by other people - Press the Read reviews button.
  • Details regarding the application you wish to remove, by pressing the Properties button.
7. Press the Uninstall button. A confirmation dialog will show up. Confirm the uninstall by clicking Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will automatically remove VMware Tools.
