How to erase VMware Tools from your PC with Advanced Uninstaller PRO

VMware Tools is an application by the software company VMware, Inc.. Some users decide to uninstall it. This can be hard because doing this by hand requires some experience related to Windows program uninstallation. The best SIMPLE way to uninstall VMware Tools is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Here is how to do this:

1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO already installed on your system, install it. This is a good step because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very efficient uninstaller and all around utility to clean your computer.

2. Run Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take some time to get familiar with Advanced Uninstaller PRO's design and number of features available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very good system utility.

3. Press the General Tools button

5. All the applications installed on the PC will be shown to you

6. Navigate the list of applications until you find VMware Tools or simply activate the Search feature and type in "VMware Tools". If it exists on your system the VMware Tools application will be found very quickly. After you click VMware Tools in the list of programs, some data about the application is shown to you:


  • Star rating (in the lower left corner). This tells you the opinion other people have about VMware Tools, from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
  • Opinions by other people - Press the Read reviews button.
  • Details about the application you want to uninstall, by clicking on the Properties button.
7. Click the Uninstall button. A confirmation page will show up. accept the uninstall by pressing Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will then uninstall VMware Tools.
