A way to uninstall VMware Tools with Advanced Uninstaller PRO

VMware Tools is an application released by the software company VMware, Inc.. Frequently, users want to uninstall this application. This can be hard because removing this by hand takes some knowledge regarding Windows internal functioning. The best SIMPLE manner to uninstall VMware Tools is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Here are some detailed instructions about how to do this:

1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO already installed on your Windows PC, add it. This is a good step because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very useful uninstaller and all around tool to clean your Windows system.


2. Start Advanced Uninstaller PRO. It's recommended to take your time to get familiar with Advanced Uninstaller PRO's interface and number of tools available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a powerful program.

3. Click on the General Tools category

4. Click on the Uninstall Programs feature

5. All the applications existing on your computer will appear

6. Scroll the list of applications until you locate VMware Tools or simply click the Search feature and type in "VMware Tools". If it exists on your system the VMware Tools app will be found very quickly. When you click VMware Tools in the list of programs, the following data about the application is shown to you:

  • Star rating (in the left lower corner). This explains the opinion other people have about VMware Tools, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
  • Opinions by other people - Click on the Read reviews button.
  • Details about the app you wish to remove, by pressing the Properties button.
7. Press the Uninstall button. A confirmation window will come up. accept the uninstall by pressing the Uninstall button. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will remove VMware Tools.

8. After uninstalling VMware Tools, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will offer to run an additional cleanup. Press Next to go ahead with the cleanup.
