How to uninstall SourceTree from your PC

Keep in mind that if you will type this command in Start / Run Note you might receive a notification for administrator rights. SourceTree's primary file takes around 1,001.45 KB (1025480 bytes) and is named SourceTree.exe.

If planning to uninstall SourceTree you should check if the following data is left behind on your PC.

Folders that were found:

• C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Local\SourceTree

Check for and delete the following files from your disk when you uninstall SourceTree:

• C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Local\SourceTree\Update.exe

Registry that is not cleaned:

• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\SourceTree 1.9.6.1

A way to uninstall SourceTree using Advanced Uninstaller PRO

SourceTree is an application marketed by the software company Atlassian. Frequently, people choose to remove it. Sometimes this is difficult because removing this manually requires some advanced knowledge related to removing Windows applications by hand. The best EASY solution to remove SourceTree is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take the following steps on how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO on your Windows PC, install it. This is a good step because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very efficient uninstaller and general utility to optimize your Windows PC.

• install Advanced Uninstaller PRO

2. Start Advanced Uninstaller PRO. It's recommended to take your time to admire the program's interface and number of tools available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a powerful program.

3. Click on the General Tools button


4. Activate the Uninstall Programs feature


5. All the programs existing on your computer will be made available to you

6. Scroll the list of programs until you find SourceTree or simply activate the Search field and type in "SourceTree". If it is installed on your PC the SourceTree program will be found very quickly. Notice that after you select SourceTree in the list of applications, some information about the program is made available to you:

• Star rating (in the left lower corner). This explains the opinion other users have about SourceTree, from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Opinions by other users - Click on the Read reviews button.
• Technical information about the application you want to remove, by clicking on the Properties button.

7. Press the Uninstall button. A confirmation window will show up. Confirm the uninstall by clicking Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will automatically remove SourceTree.


8. After removing SourceTree, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will ask you to run a cleanup. Press Next to perform the cleanup. All the items that belong SourceTree which have been left behind will be found and you will be able to delete them. By removing SourceTree with Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you are assured that no registry items, files or folders are left behind on your computer.

Your system will remain clean, speedy and able to run without errors or problems.
