You will find in the Windows Registry that the following data will not be cleaned; remove them one by one using regedit.exe:

Open regedit.exe to remove the registry values below from the Windows Registry:
  • HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\MuiCache\C:\Program Files (x86)\DFX\DFX.exe.FriendlyAppName
  • HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\MuiCache\C:\Program Files (x86)\DFX\uninstall.exe.ApplicationCompany
  • HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Local Settings\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell\MuiCache\C:\Program Files (x86)\DFX\uninstall.exe.FriendlyAppName


A way to remove DFX with Advanced Uninstaller PRO

DFX is an application released by Power Technology. Sometimes, users decide to uninstall this program. This can be efortful because performing this by hand takes some advanced knowledge related to removing Windows applications by hand. One of the best QUICK solution to uninstall DFX is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Here is how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO already installed on your Windows system, add it. This is a good step because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very potent uninstaller and general utility to optimize your Windows system.

  • navigate to Download Link
  • download the setup by clicking on the DOWNLOAD NOW button
  • install Advanced Uninstaller PRO
2. Start Advanced Uninstaller PRO. It's recommended to take some time to get familiar with the program's interface and wealth of functions available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very good package of utilities.

3. Press the General Tools button

6. Navigate the list of programs until you find DFX or simply activate the Search field and type in "DFX". If it exists on your system the DFX app will be found very quickly. Notice that after you select DFX in the list , some information about the application is shown to you:


  • Safety rating (in the left lower corner). The star rating explains the opinion other people have about DFX, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
  • Reviews by other people - Press the Read reviews button.
  • Details about the application you wish to remove, by clicking on the Properties button.

  • The uninstall string is: C:\Program Files (x86)\DFX\uninstall.exe
7. Press the Uninstall button. A window asking you to confirm will come up. accept the uninstall by clicking the Uninstall button. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will then remove DFX.

8. After removing DFX, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will ask you to run an additional cleanup. Click Next to go ahead with the cleanup. All the items that belong DFX which have been left behind will be detected and you will be able to delete them. By uninstalling DFX with Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you can be sure that no Windows registry entries, files or folders are left behind on your disk.
