Some files and registry entries are regularly left behind when you uninstall DFX.

Generally, the following files are left on disk:

Use regedit.exe to manually remove from the Windows Registry the keys below:

• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\DFX

Open regedit.exe in order to remove the following registry values:

How to remove DFX from your computer using Advanced Uninstaller PRO

DFX is an application released by the software company Power Technology. Sometimes, computer users try to erase it. Sometimes this is easier said than done because performing this manually takes some skill regarding Windows internal functioning. The best EASY manner to erase DFX is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Here is how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO already installed on your PC, add it. This is good because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very potent uninstaller and all around utility to optimize your system.

• download the program by clicking on the green DOWNLOAD button
• set up Advanced Uninstaller PRO

2. Run Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take some time to admire Advanced Uninstaller PRO's interface and number of tools available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very useful system utility.

3. Click on the General Tools button


4. Press the Uninstall Programs feature


5. A list of the applications installed on your PC will be made available to you

6. Navigate the list of applications until you locate DFX or simply activate the Search feature and type in "DFX". If it exists on your system the DFX app will be found automatically. When you select DFX in the list of applications, the following information regarding the application is available to you:

• Star rating (in the lower left corner). This tells you the opinion other users have regarding DFX, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Reviews by other users - Click on the Read reviews button.
• Details regarding the app you want to remove, by clicking on the Properties button.

For example you can see that for DFX:

• The web site of the program is: http://www.fxsound.com
• The uninstall string is: C:\Program Files\DFX\uninstall.exe

7. Click the Uninstall button. A confirmation window will come up. accept the uninstall by clicking Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will remove DFX.


8. After removing DFX, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will offer to run an additional cleanup. Press Next to proceed with the cleanup. All the items of DFX which have been left behind will be found and you will be asked if you want to delete them. By removing DFX with Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you are assured that no Windows registry entries, files or directories are left behind on your PC.
