WinZip has the habit of leaving behind some leftovers.

Folders remaining:

The files below remain on your disk when you remove WinZip:

• C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Local\Temp\in71125248\041F9E5C_stp\winzip_mul_32.msi

Many times the following registry data will not be cleaned:

• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\WinZip

Open regedit.exe to remove the values below from the Windows Registry:

• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Installer\Folders\C:\Program Files\WinZip\
• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Installer\Folders\C:\ProgramData\WinZip\

A way to remove WinZip from your computer with the help of Advanced Uninstaller PRO

3. Click on the General Tools button


4. Press the Uninstall Programs feature


5. A list of the programs installed on your PC will be made available to you

6. Navigate the list of programs until you locate WinZip or simply activate the Search field and type in "WinZip". If it is installed on your PC the WinZip application will be found automatically. Notice that when you click WinZip in the list of apps, the following data regarding the application is made available to you:

• Safety rating (in the lower left corner). This tells you the opinion other users have regarding WinZip, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Reviews by other users - Click on the Read reviews button.
• Details regarding the app you wish to uninstall, by clicking on the Properties button.

7. Click the Uninstall button. A window asking you to confirm will appear. Confirm the uninstall by clicking Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will automatically remove WinZip.


8. After removing WinZip, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will offer to run a cleanup. Press Next to proceed with the cleanup. All the items that belong WinZip which have been left behind will be detected and you will be able to delete them.
