How to remove WinZip using Advanced Uninstaller PRO

WinZip is an application released by WinZip Computing, S.L.. Some people try to uninstall it. This is troublesome because deleting this by hand takes some advanced knowledge regarding Windows internal functioning. One of the best SIMPLE action to uninstall WinZip is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Here is how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO already installed on your PC, add it. This is a good step because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is the best uninstaller and general tool to take care of your computer.

• download the setup by clicking on the DOWNLOAD NOW button
• set up Advanced Uninstaller PRO

2. Start Advanced Uninstaller PRO. It's recommended to take some time to get familiar with the program's interface and wealth of features available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very good package of utilities.

3. Press the General Tools button


4. Click on the Uninstall Programs feature


5. All the applications installed on your computer will appear

6. Navigate the list of applications until you find WinZip or simply activate the Search feature and type in "WinZip". If it exists on your system the WinZip app will be found automatically. Notice that when you click WinZip in the list of apps, some information regarding the program is shown to you:

• Star rating (in the left lower corner). The star rating tells you the opinion other users have regarding WinZip, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Opinions by other users - Press the Read reviews button.
• Details regarding the app you wish to uninstall, by clicking on the Properties button.

For example you can see that for WinZip:

• The software company is: HTTP://www.winzip.com/wzgate.cgi?lang=EN&url=www.winzip.com
• The uninstall string is: "C:\Program Files (x86)\WinZip\WINZIP32.EXE" /uninstall

7. Click the Uninstall button. A window asking you to confirm will appear. Confirm the removal by clicking Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will uninstall WinZip.


8. After uninstalling WinZip, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will ask you to run an additional cleanup. Press Next to start the cleanup. All the items that belong WinZip that have been left behind will be detected and you will be asked if you want to delete them. By uninstalling WinZip with Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you can be sure that no Windows registry items, files or directories are left behind on your system.
