A way to uninstall Unity from your PC

Unity is a Windows program. Unity has the habit of leaving behind some leftovers.

Use regedit.exe to manually remove from the Windows Registry the keys below:

  • HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Unity scene file

A way to remove Unity with Advanced Uninstaller PRO

Unity is a program by Unity Technologies ApS. Some people want to remove this program. Sometimes this can be easier said than done because doing this by hand requires some know-how related to removing Windows programs manually. 3. Click on the General Tools category

5. All the applications existing on your PC will be made available to you

6. Navigate the list of applications until you find Unity or simply activate the Search field and type in "Unity". If it is installed on your PC the Unity program will be found automatically. After you select Unity in the list of programs, the following data about the program is shown to you:


  • Star rating (in the left lower corner). The star rating tells you the opinion other users have about Unity, from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
  • Opinions by other users - Click on the Read reviews button.
  • Details about the program you are about to remove, by clicking on the Properties button.

7. Click the Uninstall button. A confirmation page will show up. Confirm the uninstall by clicking the Uninstall button. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will automatically remove Unity.

All the items of Unity which have been left behind will be found and you will be able to delete them.
