A way to uninstall OBS Studio from your system

Some files and registry entries are regularly left behind when you remove OBS Studio.

You should delete the folders below after you uninstall OBS Studio:

• C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Local\NVIDIA\NvBackend\ApplicationOntology\data\wrappers\obs_studio
• C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Local\NVIDIA\NvBackend\VisualOPSData\obs_studio

Generally, the following files are left on disk:

• C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Local\NVIDIA\NvBackend\ApplicationOntology\data\wrappers\obs_studio\json.lua
• C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Local\NVIDIA\NvBackend\VisualOPSData\obs_studio\29841033\manifest.xml
• C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Local\NVIDIA\NvBackend\VisualOPSData\obs_studio\29841033\metadata.json

You will find in the Windows Registry that the following keys will not be cleaned; remove them one by one using regedit.exe:

• HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\OBS Studio

A way to erase OBS Studio from your computer with Advanced Uninstaller PRO

OBS Studio is an application offered by OBS Project. Some users choose to uninstall this program. Sometimes this can be troublesome because performing this manually requires some advanced knowledge related to Windows program uninstallation. One of the best SIMPLE solution to uninstall OBS Studio is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Here is how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO already installed on your Windows PC, install it. This is a good step because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very efficient uninstaller and general tool to maximize the performance of your Windows computer.

• download the program by pressing the green DOWNLOAD NOW button
• install Advanced Uninstaller PRO

2. Run Advanced Uninstaller PRO. It's recommended to take some time to get familiar with the program's design and number of tools available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very good package of utilities.

3. Press the General Tools button


4. Press the Uninstall Programs feature


5. All the applications installed on the PC will be made available to you

6. Scroll the list of applications until you locate OBS Studio or simply click the Search feature and type in "OBS Studio". The OBS Studio app will be found very quickly. After you select OBS Studio in the list , some data regarding the application is available to you:

• Safety rating (in the lower left corner). The star rating tells you the opinion other people have regarding OBS Studio, from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Opinions by other people - Press the Read reviews button.
• Technical information regarding the application you wish to remove, by pressing the Properties button.

7. Press the Uninstall button. A confirmation dialog will show up. Confirm the removal by pressing the Uninstall button. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will automatically remove OBS Studio.


8. After uninstalling OBS Studio, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will ask you to run a cleanup. Click Next to go ahead with the cleanup. All the items that belong OBS Studio which have been left behind will be found and you will be asked if you want to delete them. By uninstalling OBS Studio with Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you can be sure that no Windows registry entries, files or directories are left behind on your system.
