A guide to uninstall Slack from your PC

Slack is a Windows application. Read below about how to uninstall it from your PC. It is developed by Slack Technologies. More info about Slack Technologies can be found here. Slack is usually set up in the C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\slack directory, however this location may vary a lot depending on the user's choice while installing the application. C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\slack\Update.exe is the full command line if you want to uninstall Slack. squirrel.exe is the Slack's main executable file and it occupies around 1.88 MB (1976288 bytes) on disk.

Slack installs the following the executables on your PC, taking about 169.20 MB (177413984 bytes) on disk.

How to delete Slack from your computer with Advanced Uninstaller PRO

Slack is an application released by Slack Technologies. Frequently, people choose to uninstall it. Sometimes this is easier said than done because removing this by hand requires some know-how related to removing Windows programs manually. The best EASY procedure to uninstall Slack is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take the following steps on how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO on your system, install it. This is good because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very potent uninstaller and all around tool to take care of your computer.

  • navigate to Download Link
  • download the setup by pressing the green DOWNLOAD button
  • set up Advanced Uninstaller PRO
2. Start Advanced Uninstaller PRO. It's recommended to take some time to admire the program's design and number of functions available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very useful PC management program.

3. Click on the General Tools category

4. Press the Uninstall Programs feature

5. All the applications installed on the PC will appear

6. Navigate the list of applications until you find Slack or simply click the Search feature and type in "Slack". If it is installed on your PC the Slack program will be found automatically. Notice that after you click Slack in the list of applications, some data about the application is available to you:


  • Safety rating (in the left lower corner). The star rating explains the opinion other people have about Slack, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
  • Reviews by other people - Click on the Read reviews button.
  • Technical information about the program you are about to uninstall, by pressing the Properties button.
7. Press the Uninstall button. A confirmation dialog will appear. Confirm the removal by clicking the Uninstall button. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will remove Slack.

8. After removing Slack, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will ask you to run an additional cleanup. Press Next to start the cleanup. All the items of Slack that have been left behind will be found and you will be asked if you want to delete them. By removing Slack with Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you can be sure that no Windows registry items, files or folders are left behind on your system.
