A way to uninstall Slack from your system

Slack is a Windows application. Read below about how to uninstall it from your PC. It was coded for Windows by Slack Technologies. Check out here for more info on Slack Technologies. Slack is commonly installed in the C:\UserNames\UserName\AppData\Local\slack\..\slack directory, regulated by the user's option. C:\UserNames\UserName\AppData\Local\slack\..\slack\Update.exe --uninstall is the full command line if you want to uninstall Slack. The application's main executable file is called slack.exe and it has a size of 45.97 MB (48200120 bytes).

The executables below are part of Slack. They take about 48.85 MB (51222824 bytes) on disk.

If you are manually uninstalling Slack we advise you to verify if the following data is left behind on your PC.

Directories that were found:

• C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Local\slack

Check for and delete the following files from your disk when you uninstall Slack:

• C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Local\slack\app-1.2.2\content_resources_200_percent.pak
• C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Local\slack\app-1.2.2\content_shell.pak
• C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Local\slack\app-1.2.2\d3dcompiler_47.dll
• C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Local\slack\app-1.2.2\ffmpegsumo.dll

Use regedit.exe to manually remove from the Windows Registry the keys below:

• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\slack
• HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\slack

Registry values that are not removed from your computer:

• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\slack\DefaultIcon\
• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\slack\shell\open\command\
• HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\sms\URL Protocol
• HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\slack\DisplayIcon

How to remove Slack with the help of Advanced Uninstaller PRO

• Safety rating (in the lower left corner). The star rating explains the opinion other users have about Slack, from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Opinions by other users - Click on the Read reviews button.
• Details about the program you are about to uninstall, by clicking on the Properties button.

7. Press the Uninstall button. A confirmation window will come up. Confirm the removal by clicking the Uninstall button. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will automatically remove Slack.

All the items of Slack which have been left behind will be found and you will be able to delete them.
