When planning to uninstall Skype you should check if the following data is left behind on your PC.

You will find in the Windows Registry that the following keys will not be uninstalled; remove them one by one using regedit.exe:

A way to erase Skype from your computer with Advanced Uninstaller PRO

Skype is a program released by the software company Skype Technologies S.A.. Frequently, computer users want to uninstall this program. 3. Press the General Tools category

5. A list of the programs existing on the PC will appear

6. Scroll the list of programs until you find Skype or simply click the Search field and type in "Skype". If it is installed on your PC the Skype program will be found automatically. Notice that after you select Skype in the list of applications, some data regarding the program is made available to you:

• Star rating (in the left lower corner). The star rating explains the opinion other users have regarding Skype, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
• Reviews by other users - Press the Read reviews button.
• Details regarding the app you want to uninstall, by clicking on the Properties button.

For instance you can see that for Skype:

• The publisher is: http://www.skype.com/
• The uninstall string is: C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft\Skype for Desktop\Uninstall.exe

7. Press the Uninstall button. A window asking you to confirm will come up. Confirm the removal by pressing Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will automatically uninstall Skype.


8. After removing Skype, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will ask you to run a cleanup. Click Next to perform the cleanup. All the items of Skype that have been left behind will be found and you will be able to delete them.
